Itinerary:

1. Auckland – Your tour starts in New Zealand’s largest city! As we leave the city, your guide will share local insights and point out key highlights.

2. Waikato – Travel through the beautiful Waikato countryside, known as the most extensive farming region in the world. Enjoy scenic views, mighty rivers, farm animals and a special stop for coffee at a unique location.

3. Tirau – Pass through this quirky town dubbed the ‘Corrugated Iron Capital of the World’ due to its many iron sculptures and buildings. A favourite with travellers and our guides will highlight all the sights along the way.

4. Rotorua City Highlights – Enjoy a driving tour of Rotorua to get your bearings and take in its most iconic sites including Lake Rotorua, Rotorua Museum, Government Gardens, Whangapipiro (Rachel Spring) and the historic Blue Baths.

5. Wai-O-Tapu – Spend approximately 90 minutes stepping into another world at Wai-O-Tapu, famous for its colourful geothermal features including the Champagne Pool, bubbling mud pools and more. A photographer’s dream.

6. Lunch Break – Enjoy a well-earned break for lunch at one of our recommended local eateries (at your own expense).

7. Redwoods Tree Walk – Walk high among the treetops in the majestic Whakarewarewa Forest. This elevated canopy walkway offers a breathtaking perspective of towering Californian redwoods and native forest.

8. Auckland – Return to Auckland with your guide making the journey just as memorable, including secret stops and stories to round off an unforgettable day.
